This is a quick note to express my sincere gratitude to the Mountain Mobile Wound Care Team, who treated my husband, Don. All of the staff were extremely professional, courteous, and caring during the treatment of Don's 2nd degree burn to his buttocks. Their knowledge and treatment expedited his recovery.

From the Patient's Wife

During a camping trip in our 5th wheel, Don fell asleep while in his heated recliner. Unfortunately, he did not wake up until sustaining a severe burn to both his buttocks. This shortened our vacation and we returned home quickly to care for his injury.

I am a Registered Nurse at an extended care facility, when Mountain Mobile Wound Care Team presented their services as a mobile wound clinic to the facility's Administration. Fortunately, I overheard their presentation and immediately explained my situation to them once they finished their presentation. I showed him photographs of my husband's burn injury and explained how he sustained it. The MMWC Team immediately showed concern and made a house call, visiting my husband at home the next day.

After weekly home visits for eleven weeks of extensive treatment, including pain control management, antibiotics, surgical debridement with local anesthetics, and the use of skin substitute grafts, the MMWC team was able to discharge Don without him or his burned buttocks having any type of complications.

Don and I are incredibly grateful for the selfless care and expertise that the Mountain Mobile Wound Care experts showed and demonstrated. They often called to check on Don's condition and always asked if there was anything we needed. This was greatly appreciated by both of us, and we feel this contributed to his recovery.
